The Western KI caravan Park, with a 3 1/2 star rating from the RAA, is ideally situated in a picturesque bushland and rural setting right next door to the internationally acclaimed Flinders Chase National Park (Cape duCouedic, Admirals Arch, Remarkable Rocks etc) and Kelly Hill Conservation Park (Kelly Hill Caves). Spectacular Hanson Bay and South West river are close by (fishing and swimming) as are the many scenic beaches and coves of the beautiful north coast (Western river Cove, Snellings Beach and Stokes Beach). The rare and endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo can be found there.
The caravan park has many exciting attractions including a host of wildlife species such as koalas, wallabies,, possums, kangaroos, echidnas, goannas, cockatoos and cape barren geese. These can be observed on the various walking trails or within the park. The area is a birdwatchers delight with over 100 native birds being recorded here. A bird list is available upon request.
Cypress pine log cabins, park cabins, powered van sites, tent sites, shelter shed with gas BBQ, camp kitchen with seating available for up to 50 people and modern toilet/ shower block and laundry are all part of the wonderful facilities this park has to offer. A kiosk is also available providing essential foods, souvenirs and a residential liquor licence.
