Only 45 minutes drive south of Adelaide directly adjacent to Moana Beach, the Moana Beach Tourist Park is surrounded by many places of interest for holidaymakers. The nearby Onkaparinga River National Park offers walking trails and is an absolute treat for birdwatchers with egrets, coots, ibis, herons, swans yellow-billed spoonbills all inhabiting the area. Moana beach offers terrific summer swimming, year round fishing snorkelling, however, the spot is best known as a patrolled family surf beach. Cars may be driven on the beach, although at certain times of the year a small fee may be charged. The Park is close to shopping centres, hotel, cafes, entertainment, bus routes, the Southern Vales wineries other local amenities. Moana Beach Tourist Park caters for a wide range of persons, all ages, with a large variety of accommodation options from Executive cottage (with spa) to Holiday units for families. The Park is proud of its fully grassed sites and clean modern facilities renovated in July 2007 (which include a disabled facility ). There are plenty of fun-filled activities on site to keep adults children alike fully entertained. The Park has two full sized tennis courts, a slam-dunk hoop for basketball and a recreation room (including table tennis television). There are free undercover barbeque areas, a children’s playground (shaded) and plenty of sitting areas when rest is required. Boom gates security fencing provide added peace of mind.
